Notifications
Settings › Notifications sets how Solel tells you things: on screen, on your phones and browsers, and by email.
Quiet
- Do not disturb: nothing pops up, and nothing goes to your phone or inbox, apart from things that need you now.
- Quiet hours: the same, every day between From and Until. The times start as 22:00 and 07:00, and change in half-hour steps. Quiet hours follow the server's clock, and the page shows its time zone.
Phones and browsers
To get notifications on a device even when Solel isn't open:
- Open Settings › Notifications on that phone, tablet or computer.
- Next to This device, choose Turn on, and allow notifications when the browser asks.
On an iPhone or iPad, first add Solel to the home screen from Share in Safari, then open it from there. If the browser blocks notifications, allow them for Solel in the browser's settings and try again.
Send to your devices picks what goes to them: All notifications, Only important ones, or None. It starts on All. Every device that gets them is listed with when it was last reached, and Remove stops one.
Email you offers the same three choices. Important ones are warnings and things that need you now, such as a failing drive or someone guessing your password. Admins start with important ones emailed, and everyone else with none.
Email needs two things:
- An email server, which an admin sets up in Settings › Network. Admins see an Email server row here that opens it.
- A confirmed address in Your account. An address you add yourself counts as confirmed if you're an admin. Otherwise, ask an admin to confirm it in People.
Apps
Apps that were allowed to send notifications when they were installed are listed here, each with a switch. Turn one off to stop hearing from it.
