Things a Sol makes
A Sol can show you something it made, live in the chat. This page covers what it can make, what you can do with it, and how it's kept apart from everything else.
What a Sol can make
- a web page
- a picture (SVG)
- a component (React)
- a diagram (Mermaid).
Each shows as a card in the reply, with a live preview. Things with the same kind and title are versions of one thing, and the card says which version it is.
On the card
The card has Show the code, Copy, Download and Open.
Open it beside the chat
Open puts it beside the chat, or over the chat on a phone. There you can:
- switch between Preview and Code
- step through earlier and later versions. A new version opens as it arrives.
- Copy or Download it
- choose Save to Files, which puts a copy in the Genesis ark folder in your Files without replacing anything already there
- choose Full screen, then Back beside the chat.
On a wide screen, the chat, the thing and the Sol's face sit side by side.
Sealed off
What a Sol makes runs sealed off from the internet, your files and the rest of . It can't load anything from the network, use cookies, send forms, open pop-ups or move the app. Anything it stores is forgotten when it closes.
A link in it asks first. Open this link? shows the address, and Open in a new tab opens it. Only web and email links open.
In Jethro's window
Jethro's window on the desktop shows these as code. To see one live, open the conversation in Genesis//ark from the window's menu.
