Downloads
Your browser runs on your server, so what you download is saved there too, straight into your Files. Nothing needs copying across from a phone or laptop.
Where downloads go
Every download goes to the Downloads folder in your own space in Files. If a file with the same name is already there, the new one gets a number, like report (2).pdf.
When a download is saved, Browser tells you it's in Files. It's in Downloads on every device from then on.
If a download can't be saved to Files, Browser says so. The file stays in your browser on the server, and Solel tries again.
Downloads from private tabs go to Files too.
See your downloads
- The download button in the bar shows downloads in progress and the latest ones saved. A dot on it means one is still going.
- Open Downloads in Files opens the folder. Downloads in Files in the More menu does the same.
- The new tab page lists your latest downloads under Downloads, saved to Files.
On a phone, choose the shield beside the address, then Downloads.
For moving, sharing or deleting them, see Your space and shared spaces.
Sending a file to a page
When a page asks for a file, for an upload or an attachment, Browser asks you for one from the device you're using.
- In The page wants a file, choose one or more files on this device.
- Choose Send to the page.
The file goes to the page in your browser on your server, and nowhere else. Choose Cancel to send nothing.
Children's downloads
A child's downloads wait for a parent's OK before they go in the child's Files. The child sees Waiting for a parent in their downloads, and their parents get a notification. See Browsing for children.
